Our Staff

Rob is a seasoned CPA with a strong background in public accounting, focusing on serving incorporated businesses. A proud alumnus of the University of Waterloo, he began his career in Perth as a staff accountant before moving into the role of Chief Financial Officer at a regional trucking and logistics company. This position, held for over a decade, provided him with extensive experience in financial and project management and human resources.

In 2009, Rob took over the reins of Dyke & Young, a public accounting firm that he has successfully led for over 15 years. His firm specializes in advising clients on succession planning, accounting, and taxation strategies. Rob’s approach is direct and involved, ensuring that he understands and meets the needs of his clients, who are primarily owners of incorporated businesses.

Besides his professional work, Rob is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time outdoors. He is also a committed volunteer, serving as a Board Member for the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital and Valley Heartland CFDC, where he contributes his expertise to support the community.

Rob’s blend of corporate and public accounting experience, coupled with his leadership in community service, marks him as a knowledgeable and dedicated professional in his field.

Steffanie Young, CPA, recently became a partner at Dyke & Young, Professional Corporation. With a passion for accounting and a commitment to providing tailored solutions for our clients, Steffanie brings valuable expertise in tax planning, financial reporting, and advisory services.

Steffanie holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Queen’s University, leading to her CPA designation. She is actively engaged in the local community, volunteering with the Perth Chamber of Commerce, and is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with businesses and individuals across Eastern Ontario.

Outside of work, Steffanie enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time outdoors during the summer.

Before returning home to Perth, Lee-Ann was the head of an accounting department at a patent and trademark firm in Ottawa for nearly a decade. She joined the Dyke & Young team in 2010 and has become a cornerstone in the firm with extensive knowledge in all facets of taxation and accounting. Lee-Ann enjoys working alongside her husband, Rob, and values the strong relationships the company builds with new and existing businesses in our community.  Lee-Ann has an active lifestyle and appreciates a good run and relaxing yoga session when she’s not spending time with her family.

Originally from Perth, Makayla joined Dyke and Young in 2022 as a summer student. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce, she returned to work with us full-time.. Makayla enjoys swimming, new creative hobbies and travel. She has explored many parts of Canada and Europe.

Jenn is our Director of First Impressions at Dyke & Young. With experience as a small business owner of a bike shop, she brings a unique perspective to our firm, understanding the challenges and needs of small businesses firsthand and the importance of excellent customer service. In her free time, Jenn enjoys staying active through running, biking, swimming, hiking, and kayaking, and she takes every opportunity to spend time outdoors.

Luke is our summer student, and currently attending Bishop University studying Accounting and Finance. Luke enjoys golf, fishing and the outdoors.
